Phoenix Gallery is pleased to announce the fifteen shortlisted finalists for Exeter Contemporary Open 2011 selected by Hannah Firth, curator of Chapter, Cardiff; Charlie Tweed, previous prize winner and curator of Alma Enterprises, London; and Phoenix Gallery curator Matt Burrows.

Over the last seven years, this annual exhibition has been a chance to see work by some of the most talented emerging artists, selected from hundreds of entries from across the UK and beyond. This year’s exhibition includes a breadth of disciplines including painting, sculpture, print, photography, video and performance/live art works.

Prizes include a £1000 Overall Award, two £500 Additional Awards while a £200 Audience Choice Award will voted for by visitors to the exhibition and announced on Thursday 20th October.
