This course is geared toward those who wish to develop skills in video production. Subjects include; camera set up and operation, lighting format and workflows, sound recording, single camera location, down converting HD video, and editing in Final Cut Pro Studio.

Using Dreamweaver and Photoshop. The course will cover the basic construction and upload of a website. Students will have the opportunity to create their own websites. Some computer literacy is desirable and it is essential for students to have content (text and image ideas) that they wish to transform onto the web. Bring ideas, enthusiasm, and patience. Homework is recommended.

Whether you have a digital camera or not, come and discover for yourself the possibilities offered by this exciting revolution. We will show you how to take digital photographs, download them to the computer and use Adobe Photoshop to enhance, manipulate and print out superb results.Wed 17 & Thu 18 Mar, 2 day course, 10.30am–5.30pm, £135 (£120)
An intensive two day beginner’s course teaching Photoshop skills and concepts, giving you confidence in using this powerful image manipulation software. The course will show you how to work with layers, and resize images for printing and website use. There will be time allocated for questions and individual needs.

Using Sony HDV Z1 camera kits you will spend an intensive day with an experienced freelance broadcast operator covering the functions of the camera, time code, colour balance, focus, exposure and basic sound recording. Ideal for beginners and those who wish to broaden their knowledge.

‘Introduction to Painting and Drawing’ aims to offer those interested in starting out or returning to art a firm grounding from which to build your understanding of process, mark making, and a variety of painting techniques. This course is suitable for those who are interested in art as a hobby or as an introduction for future education.

Alongside the website there are opportunities to involve your school in art projects and professional development days for teachers keen to develop their confidence in using art galleries as an educational resource.
Tue 20 Apr, £20 per person, 4.30–6.30pm
This session will focus on teaching boys dance in secondary school. The workshop will explore ideas on how to get them more involved in dance, give you some ideas to take away for your lessons and themes for clubs as well as warm ups and creative tasks to help give dance and PE teachers more confidence. The session will be lead by Helen French from Pilton Community College.
