Adam Garratt’s suspended nylon drawings span across space often within unnoticed architectural voids and recesses. They can be described as drawings in space, installations, sculptures, perhaps even collage. They often begin as a traditional drawing or plan, transposed into an environment, typically evolving into a geometric form.
Previous site based works have included the central space in stair wells, under sinks, above door frames and in corridor spaces. The use of unexpected and small spaces adds challenging parameters making each drawing unique.
