This intensive one day course is designed for those new to scriptwriting or experienced scriptwriters looking to push their work to a professional level.
Run by locally based script editor Lucy V Hay, this session will draw on the importance of scriptwriting as the starting point for most dramatic films. You will be introduced to the basic elements and key concepts to be expected from a professional screenplay. Looking a common vocabulary used when developing screenplays, script analysis and usual exercises based on your own story ideas.
Any writers who already have treatments or script written would be encouraged to bring these along to the session.

Lucy V Hay is an author, script editor and blogger who supports writers.
She is the associate producer of Brit thrillers Deviation (2012) and Assassin (2015) and has been a script reader for fifteen years for screen agencies, investment companies, screenwriting competitions, London Screenwriters’ Festival and individual writers, producers and filmmakers.
