iShorts + Funny Girls Comedy Night (15)

Somewhere between a night of standup comedy and film, Exeter Phoenix presents an evening of laughs showcasing the best new British female comedy directors, complete with a live comedian to compere.

A chance to see a selection of brilliantly funny short film from Creative England’s iShorts + Funny Girls, which were developed in partnership with the BFI NET.WORK, alongside Big Talk and Baby Cow, two of the UK’s most successful comedy film and television production companies.

The evening will be compered by Emily Souter Johnson.Emily Souter Johnson is a performer, comedienne and raconteur. She has performed in venues across the South West and Ireland as a storyteller and host. More recently she has started working to support upcoming theatre makers and artists in her role as Artist Development Producer at The Bike Shed Theatre. She is a part of Beyond the Ridiculous a theatre company based in Bristol and brought a sketch comedy show up to Edinburgh with her company Cantankerous Theatre.
