Grimy Gringo Workshops:

Grimy Gringo Workshop Carousel

Workshops for Grimy Gringos, a dizzying delve into the magic and crafts of Mexico as part of the Mexican Day of the Dead fiesta. This workshop allows you to move between the different activities, experimenting with what sparks your imagination!

Nichos

Nichos are crazily, colourful shrines to the dead. Maybe there is someone you have lost, a relative? A pet? Or even a celebrity? Create a colourful shrine in their memory, paint in bright colours and put things in there that they liked, or that remind you of them. All Nichos can be displayed as part of the fiesta weekend and can be collected after, or you can take them home with you on the day.

Crafty Calaveras

Paint and decorate a Mexican skull, from a cast or from recycled materials. The decorated skull is a great way to think of the skull as more of a fun, colourful grinning object, and not that scary representation we are more used to at this time of year. All skulls can be displayed as part of the fiesta weekend and can be collected after, or you can take them home with you on the day.

Papel Picados

Make your own set of bright, colourful Mexican fiesta flags! These flags are traditionally hung across the streets in Mexico as the parade comes though town.

Part of the Mexican Day of the Dead Fiesta.
