    Olive And The Dream Train

    VENUE: ST NICHOLAS PRIMARY SCHOOL

A rollercoaster ride through the mind-boggling mysteries of everyday life…

Olive is always daydreaming. She daydreams about what’s going on inside her cat’s head, or about that weird picture above her bed of a steam train puffing out of a fireplace… Then one day, on her way to school, another very odd train chugs into the station- it’s studded with olives, for one thing, and there’s no driver….So Olive boldly jumps aboard and, WOOHOO, she’s driving her very own dream train and it can take her absolutely anywhere!

Written by Daniel Jamieson, Olive & the Dream Train is a wonderfully playful story for five to eleven year olds about the value of creative thinking. The show combines performance with puppetry and live music.

Theatre Alibi are contemporary storytellers with an excellent reputation for distinctive new work that is visually and physically inventive. Their productions make the most of the live nature of theatre – actors and musicians are absolutely present with their audience. And they delight in revealing acts of transformation that would often be confined to the wings. Theatre Alibi is supported by Arts Council England, Devon County Council and Exeter City Council.
