Join MED theatre as they investigate different ways on how to devise theatre pieces for primary schools. Using the myths of Dartmoor as a starting point you will use your skills to develop the idea of a Dartmoor myth and explore how you can use this to develop a performance piece.
The Teacher Twilight will be led by Abby Stobart who has been in the role of Education Officer for MED Theatre since October 2008. After gaining a first class honours degree in Drama from the University of Exeter Abby went on to complete an MA in Acting. She held down an acting career in London for three years which led to opportunities of working with young people on a number of tours in schools as a facilitator, teacher and actor. Realising that this was the more rewarding career path for her, Abby returned to her south west roots and was happy to have the opportunity of leading MED Theatre’s education work.
