MORE INFO: Are you passionate about theatre and performance? Can you write intelligent, creative copy that conveys your enthusiasm and captures the imagination of the reader? Do you want to be involved in the critical debate, which is an integral part of a vibrant performance culture? Then IGNITE needs you!
We are looking for a team of writers to contribute to a critical review of performances and events as part of this year’s IGNITE festival. Reviews will be published in a hard copy daily digest as well as featuring on the dedicated IGNITE page of the Bike Shed website. As a reviewer, you will get: two tickets to each performance you review; an invitation to the Opening and Closing Events that bookend the festival; and a writing credit in the critical digest and on the website. In return, you will be expected to provide a lively, impartial and honest 250-word write-up of each piece you see within a specific time limit.

MORE INFO: On May 31st, the ‘Is It TV?’ research group will be hosting an event/conference addressing contemporary trends surrounding the field of local/online television. Featuring key note speakers, educators and live entertainment, the aim is to explore our understanding of the present and future of the medium of television.
A key aim of the day is to make TV. So they are offering opportunities for fresh voices to participate. They will be filming content using range of different production techniques, including wirecast and the content will form a documentary.
Therefore they are looking for presenters and talent, camera operators, editors and producers. You will be offered opportunities to be involved in both crewing the day and in post-production.
