The busiest music venue in Exeter, presenting up to ten live music gigs each week, Exeter Phoenix is also an intimate space offering you the chance to see established award-musicians alongside fresh talent.
From folk, indie and rock to world music and dance DJs, we have something in the line up to suit most tastes. Events take place in our auditorium, the upstairs Voodoo Lounge, the Café Bar and outdoors in our Terrace Bar. For annual festivals such as the Vibraphonic Urban Music festival or Acoustica, showcasing music of acoustic origin, bands play in spaces all over the building, new music emanating from every corner.
We also put on great gigs in other venues such as Exeter’s Great Hall situated in the University campus, which recently hosted a sold out Newton Faulkner show and is bound to be packed for the Kaiser Chiefs gig in February next year. Tickets for Exeter Phoenix, the Great Hall and many other music venues in the South West can all be bought on the Buy Tickets page of this site.
For alternative music wherever you are, tune in to phonic.fm on 106.8, which is broadcast from Exeter Phoenix. And, if you’re a musician needing rehearsal space, recording equipment or want to learn more about music technology, look no further than Sound Gallery Studios in the basement of our building.
