Devon photographer and writer Susan Young explores the lost history linking Poland and Britain. The facts surrounding the invasion of Poland by Soviet Russia in 1939 are little known in Britain, despite, or perhaps as a result of, the controversial role played by the British government in the subsequent events – as relevant today as they were then.
20 Jul–15 Aug
Photographs from Tess Shellard’s 1293-mile fund raising hike from John O’Groats to Lands End along with striking images from the villages in Madagascar she is supporting.
17 Aug–12 Sep
A community arts exhibition which explores the connection between natural objects and the human form through photography. Images taken on walks through the city and in the studio aimed to promote visual awareness and a greater sense of connection to our physical surroundings.
14 Sep–10 Oct
An exhibition of prints from Double Elephant’s Print on Prescription scheme which works with adults dealing with mental health issues to provide regular access to our studio and a variety of printmaking processes. The work in this exhibition was inspired by the days when we took our portable press out into the countryside and created work outdoors!
