2017 Oscar Nominations Are In

So far, the Golden Globe nominees have been announced and we know who the BAFTA contenders are, but it was yesterday’s Academy Award nomination announcement that has got us really excited for awards season! 

We’re delighted to announce that six Oscar nominated films are making their way to Studio 74 over the next few weeks. Read on to find out more.  

La La Land

After breaking Golden Globes records with an impressive 7 wins, La La Land continues to make history. With an astonishing fourteen nominations, the movie-musical has equalled the record for most nominations.

Manchester By Sea

 

Kenneth Lonergan’s drama about a grief-stricken Boston janitor scooped an impressive six nominations. With a Golden Globe winning performance from Casey Affleck and a further six BAFTA nominations to its name, Manchester By The Sea has fast become one of the most talked about films around.

Moonlight

 

This coming-of-age tale chronicles the life of a young black man as he struggles to find his place in the world. Moonlight follows up its four BAFTA nominations and best film Golden Globe win with an impressive eight Oscar nods.

KUBO AND THE TWO STRINGS

 

Animation doesn’t get much better than this. With an all-star cast of voice actors, Kubo And The Two Strings is a gorgeously animated stop-motion sensation full of big laughs and scares.
