Under Construction

Our summer refurb project is underway! This summer we’re making some big improvements to our beautiful building. The refurbishment project will see an expansion of the main gallery spaces, the installation of a glass vestibule to the front of the building and improvements to the visitor facilities. 

Pussy Riot

PUSSY RIOT need little introduction, the Russian protest art collective have one of the most important voices of the last 10 years who’s lyrical themes include feminism, LGBT rights, and opposition to Russian President Vladimir Putin, whom the group consider to be a dictator.

Wildwood Kin

Wildwood Kin’s extraordinary Top 40 album Turning Tides mixes folk, hypnotic three-part harmonies, electric and acoustic instruments layered with inventive electronics and spectral atmospherics.

Hugh Thomson

For centuries mules were used to transport goods across Britain. Strong, sturdy and able to carry a great deal of weight, they made ideal walking companions – as long as you didn’t ask them to do anything they didn’t want to do!

Lek And The Dogs

Experimental artist and auteur Andrew Kötting creates a groundbreaking crossover between narrative film and contemporary art piece, based on the award-winning play by Hattie Naylor. The film is inspired by the true story of Ivan Mishukov, who walked out of his apartment at the age of four and spent two years living on the city streets where he was adopted by a pack of wild dogs.

Perfect for beginners and those returning to drawing, this course covers a variety of technical and expressive approaches to life drawing while offering an insight into their uses in art history and contemporary art.
