Willy Hudson

Associate Artist 2018

Willy Hudson is a Devon-based theatre maker. As a performer and writer, Willy is interested in unpicking social hang-ups and using personal experience to make unapologetic work that inspires change and challenge. He trained at Oxford School of Drama, graduating in 2017. Since graduating, he has written and directed Bottom, which was developed with the support of Exeter Phoenix, The Arts Council, The Bike Shed Theatre and Bryony Kimmings. Bottom is about bums, Beyoncé and burnt fishfingers. Funny, awkward and with a big heart, this show follows Willy’s attempts to navigate through the technicalities of finding love in 2017. It featured in The Bike Shed Theatre’s ‘From Devon With Love’ season in January 2018 and Camden People’s Theatre’s ‘Sprint 2018’ festival. Willy will be taking the show to the Edinburgh Fringe in August 2018.
