Kids Coding: Make A Halloween Lantern

TWO HOUR SESSION

In this hands-on craft two hour session you will use your creativity and some simple instructions to make a cardboard lantern, which you can watch being laser cut by machine from card. You can then decorate it in scary Halloween style in any colour you like using the supplied materials.

When it’s ready, you will fit the light inside, then design and write your own basic code using the C programming language to make the colours of your lantern change automatically.

Take your finished lantern Trick or Treating or leave it in your window to scare off the ghouls and ghosts!

PLEASE NOTE: All materials except an Android style mobile phone charger or mobile power bank will be supplied and the code can be modified using a home computer after the event.

This session is for those aged 8-14 years old, parents are welcome to stay to help younger children and join in the fun.
