Pattern Pusher Presents IV

Pattern Pusher
+ Foniee
+ Cousin Kula
+ Shake The Geek

After a momentous 2019 Exeter indie trio Pattern Pusher return triumphantly to the Phoenix for their annual presents show.

The boys have used the event to demonstrate their ever growing immersive stage show and to also shine a light on new artists from the area.

For 2020 the gig will include; a new light installation which has been supported by the centre of Exeter’s creative tech scene Kaleider; songs from their upcoming album and of course a pick of new bands and musicians from the South West.

Come and support the pioneers of the Exeter music scene and the “most energetic live band” according to GQ magazine.

Expect a night of live music until 11pm, followed by a DJ set in the auditorium until midnight.

About Pattern Pusher

Pattern Pusher are a fun-loving three piece that will fill you with warm summer hooks.

They are a quirky band. A keys player with soaring vocals, a bouncing bassist and a drummer full of disco beats. Their crusade of happiness has earned them a loyal fan base, accolades from BBC Radio 6, and a string of festival shows; now lining up on the same bills as their idols.

Pattern Pusher’s highlight of 2019 has to be performing at Michael Eavis’ 8000 cap Pilton Party before Supergrass and Wolf Alice after they won a multi heat contest judged by the man himself.

Foniee

Winners of the University of Exeter Battle of the Bands 2019, Foniee are a high energy 5-piece funk-fusion band based in Exeter. With groovy guitar riffs, funky bassline grooves and powerful saxophone licks, they’ll keep you dancing all night!

Cousin Kula

All meeting as highly active members of Bristol’s progressive jazz music scene, Cousin Kula bonded over their shared love for an eclectic range of music from pop and psych through to prog, disco & afrobeat. The six members soon found themselves living together and with a rehearsal room in their basement became one of the tightest and most impressive bands on the Bristol circuit, blending these genres into something both modern and refreshing.

Shake The Geek

Braunton 4 piece rock band Shake The Geek are Pattern Pusher’s new local talent pick. The female fronted group will remind you of No Doubt with high onstage energy and riffs to enjoy.
