Based on Sarah Water’s gothic novel, the latest film from the Oscar-winning director of Room follows country doctor Dr Faraday. When he is called to a patient in the crumbling manor where his mother once worked, he finds its inhabitants haunted by something more ominous than a dying way of life. Dr Faraday has no idea how closely, and how disturbingly, the family’s story is about to become entwined with his own.
