Chillaxation Creation: The magical art of poetry with Annie Bennett!

Do you want to learn how to harness haikus, summon sibilance and craft caesura? This intensely exciting two hour workshop will liberate your poetic voice, whether you’re a beginner or an experienced writer.

Come and join me as we journey deep into the wonderful world of poetry! During our adventure, we will travel (via guided meditation) into the wilderness and use our powerful poetic voices to share our experiences. Whatever your style (storyteller, rapper, crafter of sonnets, or yet unknown), this workshop is for you!

All materials are provided. Just bring your imagination!

TUTOR

Annie Bennett BA Hons English Literature and Philosophy, PGCE, Undergraduate Diploma in Creative Writing (Oxford University). Teacher of English and Creative Writing ages 11-18 (8 years).

Annie Bennett is a poet, secondary and post-16 teacher and leader of local writers group River Exe Writers. She has been shortlisted for Teignmouth Poetry Prize (2017) and regularly performs her poetry and prose at festivals and open mic nights (Green Gathering, Port Elliot, Catweazle Club). Annie has just had her first short story and two poems published as part of River Exe Writers Anthology: Rivers. She is passionate about working with young people to develop their creative writing talent for pleasure, as therapy or with an eye to publication.
