60 years after its initial release Hitchcock’s Vertigo remains a seminal film and is widely considered his towering achievement. An acrophobic detective is hired by an old friend to trail his wife who is behaving suspiciously. After he successfully rescues her from a suicidal leap into the San Francisco bay, he finds himself becoming obsessed with the beautiful and troubled woman.
