WOW THINKIN

Come and help plan the first WOW – Women of the World Exeter: a festival for everyone that celebrates women and girls.

WOW – Women of the World Exeter is happening for the first time from 13 – 15 October. Join us for a Thinkin and have your say about what the festival could and should include.

What would you like to see represented, which speakers would you like to hear from and what in your opinion are the most relevant topics for women today? How can the festival represent and include everyone in Exeter?

About WOW

WOW – Women of the World is Southbank Centre’s festival that celebrates women and girls, highlights their achievements and looks at the obstacles they still face across the world. With talks and debates, music and performance, parties, a marketplace, networking and much more, the festival brings together women and men to speak about about how they are making the world a fairer place and why it matters. Looking at everything from body image to peacemaking, haircuts, sport, the arts, sex, race, food and love. Expect joy, laughter, passion, insight and a chance to share your own stories.

About WOW Thinkins

WOWs are planned from the ground up through a series of community planning sessions called Thinkins.

All sessions are open to women and men, girls and boys. We encourage you to bring your friends, boyfriend, girlfriend, brother, child and/or granny and grandpa. If there are individuals or groups you think should be there, please let them know about the Thinkins.

Each session begins with an introduction about what we hope to achieve, followed by planning, discussion and debate. Tea and coffee are provided, and no preparation is required.

Everyone is welcome, and the more the merrier – we hope to see you there!
