Writer/director Greta Gerwig (Lady Bird) returns with a fresh retelling of Louisa May Alcott’s classic 1868 novel, the Civil War era story of four young women coming of age each determined to live life on their own terms. 

Jo (Saoirse Ronan) unconventional and endearing reflects on her fictional life as sister to sensible Meg (Emma Watson), artistic Amy (Florence Pugh) and saintly Beth (Eliza Scanlon). Timothée Chalamet, Laura Dern and Meryl Streep also star in this is a timeless and timely drama about what it is for a young woman to enter an adult world and is being hailed as one of the best films of 2019.
